This new type of keypads, with Capacitive Contacts, offer excellent sensibility and can be activated by a very slight finger touch. There is no material flexion and therefore life expectancy of the device is much higher.
Besides of applications as keypad operation, this type of contacts may be used also for Rotary and Sliding controls, ideal for menu navigation and intensity regulation, replacing conventional mechanical devices.
These keypads may have several options of connectivities with the electronics of the equipment (serial, resistive, RS232, USB, etc.)
The same as conventional membrane switch keypads, they are flexible, have low thickness and can be adapted to curved surfaces..
